About the retreat

Your retreat begins with and afternoon of introductions and fun, centered on the powerful Standards of Presence.

In the days and nights that follow, Linda Roggli, your retreat facilitator will gently guide you through exercise and processes that will open your heart and satisfy your soul - like Full Presence Circles and guided visualizations.

You'll share your story and be acknowledged again and again for being exactly Who You Are.
There will be time for creative exploration, reflection, and recommitment to your heart's desire.

You'll be able to hear the sound of wild geese gliding through the dawn, relax in a bubbling not-too-hot-not-too-cool spa, walk acres of meditation paths as well as a seven-circuit outdoor labyrinth. You can hide out in the GardenSpirit Treehouse (with it's purple door and brand new slide. You'll dance, sing, laugh and even cry with the incredible women who support you on this glorious journey.

And of course, you'lll ring in the New Year with a full-blown celebration that kicks off with a lifted-pinky-white-gloves-and-hats  Afternoon English Tea in the Purple Dining Room.

By the end of the retreat, you'll not only have a better sense of who you are but you'll be in touch with your deepest dreams and have a plan for moving forward with them. THIS plan of action springs from the deepest connection to your personal expression of Divinity and spirituality.

"If you're ready to rediscove yourself and reconnect with who you truly are, then go to this retreat!" - Africa R. Palatine, IL

About GardenSpirit Guesthouse

"GardenSpirit is magical, soothing, warm and embracing. In just an hour I felt completely at peace." – Susan, Knoxville, TN

GardenSpirit Guesthouse is the dream-come-true of retreat facilitator Linda Roggli, ACC/CLC. The Guesthouse itself sits on two acres of pine forests and adjoins an additional five-and-a-half-acre tract that includes a Celtic-style labyrinth, meditation paths with benches, an organic vegetable garden and hundreds of flowers, shrubs and trees.

The Guesthouse is deceiving; from the outside, it looks like a typical suburban home - the giveaway is the purple door. Inside, however, GardenSpirit Guesthouse has been decorated in shabby chic cottage style. Each of the four bedrooms has two extra-long twin beds with luxury mattresses (pillowtops are sewn into each overstuffed mattress). Each room has a desk and each bedside has a reading lamp and table with fresh flowers. Bathrooms are shared, and there's plenty of hot water for everyone.

Every effort has been made to ensure your comfort. Between-the-bed curtains and screens provide privacy even with shared accommodations. Bathrobes are provided, as well as soft slippers and fluffy towels in an array of colors that match the bedding. You'll find thoughtful touches at every turn: sachet-lined drawers; spiritual and self-help books; mints on your pillow.

The centerpiece of the Guesthouse is a magnificent sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooks the private wooded acreage. New bamboo flooring (also found in the renovated kitchen) invites dancing and yoga. The nearby family room with its massive stone fireplace and hearth and warm oak floors is cozy and inviting.

Everyone's favorite room is usually the Purple Dining Room, decorated with dozens of whimsical hats and gloves. Created as a combination English Tearoom and dining room, the Purple Dining room is a perfect place to share meals or just relax with a cup of Passionate Possibili-tea (available soon).

High speed Internet access is part of the GardenSpirit package, but television - cable or otherwise - is not. By design, there are only a couple of phones at the Guesthouse and the television is used only for videos. This IS a retreat house, after all. Allow yourself to be out of touch during your retreat. Cell service and reception are fairly good in the main house, but are spotty on the paths and labyrinth that's a good thing!).

Outside, there are brand new decks with built-in seating and an extra-large hot tub that invites relaxation at any time of day. Just across the small brook that runs behind the house is the GardenSpirit Treehouse, large enough and sturdy enough to hold several adults - a great place to retreat for a journal-writing session or merely returning to childhood again. Don't miss the fast-as-lightning slide that exits off one side of the treehouse!

A short walk through the woods opens up the possibility of walking a network of quiet paths created to calm your frazzled nerves and soothe your soul. If you've never experienced the tranquilty and surprising clarity of walking the labyrinth, you're in for a treat. If you're already a labyrinth devotee, you'll love breaking new ground with this outdoor circuit, protected by a canopy of trees.

Generous meals are provided as part of the retreat.
GardenSpirit Guesthouse can accommodate special diets and food allergies on request. Food is catered into the Guesthouse and cleanup is provided -- no dishes for YOU! There will be three main meals plus snacks and you may bring in your own special snacks and food if you like. You won't go hungry!

Although GardenSpirit Guesthouse is part of a suburban neighborhood, you can be assured of your safety. There is a security system installed in the house -- virtually an unnecessary precaution in this placid setting. Families routinely walk the dog and exercise along the quiet streets during the day and evening hours.

I've been to a lot of retreats and amazing workshops, but this one tops them all because my gift from the sea was coming home to myself for the first time!" - Judy G, Buffalo, NY
